Bridesmaids' dresses

You have already announced to your sisters and friends that they will have the honour to be one of your bridesmaids on your wedding day? So now you have to choose which dress they will wear on your big day.

Today, Mevengreen gives you its advice and the latest trends to help you choose.

The bridesmaids’ outfits are one of the most important elements to choose during the organization of a wedding.

Indeed, the dresses must be coherent with the other bridesmaids’ outfits but also with the bride’s dress and the colours chosen for the wedding.

For this decision, you have several possibilities: picking the same style and the same colour for every bridesmaid or choosing different types of dresses (long, short, asymmetric, etc) with different shades while still sticking to the same colour palette.

In order to make your choice easier amongst all these possibilities, there are some retailers who offer different types of dresses that look more or less alike so you can keep a certain harmony and coherence within the group.

It is the case of Asos. Indeed, the British clothes retailer offers a large selection of different styles and colours so you can be sure to find what you want without committed a fashion faux-pas.

Moreover, last February, Monoprix launched a wedding collection in collaboration with Lorafolf. This collection obviously offers wedding dresses but also bridesmaids’ outfits mostly in mint and peach shades.  This is the guarantee to be elegant and trendy while being on a budget.

Mevengreen’s advice:

-Choose colours according to your wedding theme but also according to your bridesmaids’ complexion and hair colour.

-Take into consideration the body type of everyone: don’t forget that your bridesmaids must feel comfortable all day long.

-Why not organizing a girls shopping session in order to understand better what they want and prefer?

-Think about a (faux!) fur stole as well as a long dress if you organize a winter wedding.

-Don’t forget the accessories: adding floral details to the outfit is the guarantee to get a boho chic look. Indeed, you can ask your braidesmaids to wear a flower bracelet or fresh flowers in the hair. You can also think about handbands, classic but also elegant.
